This is a total scam - they’ve just rebranded as HypeArt Broker, but it’s the same old game.

I bought what I thought was a real Damien Hirst, but when it showed up, it turned out to be a really low-quality digital print.

Now, I’m having a tough time reaching them and am working with my credit card company to get my money back.

I’m really pleased with how everything has gone. We made a request for three pieces of art about a month back, and they were able to send out two of them. The final one is expected to show up early next month, so we’ll be on the lookout. Big thanks!

This is a detailed look at a cross-border scam. (They show a UK address, but their website ends in Japan – where it's nearly impossible to take legal action against cyber scams.) The reviews they have are all made up, backed by fake invoices. Plus, they consistently flag any negative feedback on Trustpilot and delete bad reviews from their own site. Their portfolio consists of images of art pieces they don’t actually possess, taken from various sources like auction houses, legitimate galleries, and random web images. Since they sell multiples, they conveniently hide the edition numbers, making it tough to prove they’re showcasing art they don’t own. After you place an order, they send you counterfeit reproductions of the artworks. So, buyers, be cautious!

Hype Museum has a reputation in Japan for peddling counterfeit items. They've made misleading statements about collaborating with well-known galleries and museums. After being exposed, they took down those false assertions. Steer clear of this place, and seek out genuine establishments instead.
